Visit the American Craft Council Show this year and get inspired. The show returns to Baltimore for its 39th year on February 20-22, 2015, at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Crafting has never been more engaging or more widely appreciated than now, and the show features the nation’s top talent. More than 650 contemporary craft artists will present their latest handmade jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor creations. The Retail Show runs for three days with a special $5 ticket price Friday evening after 5 p.m. (the show goes until 8 p.m. that night). As in years past, attendees will enjoy special programs on home design, jewelry, hands-on crafting, and more.
Home decor exhibition Make Room, Modern Design Meets Craft, returns for its third year with the theme “4 Elements.” Designers who have been inspired by objects of fine craft showcase pieces that visually communicate either earth, air, fire or water and stage them in modern room vignettes.
The charm craze gets the attention it deserves with the American Craft™ Charm Collection, an expanded show of exclusive handmade charms, charm bracelets, cluster pendants and pins designed by American Craft Council artists. The pieces promise to represent a broad range of styles, prices and materials, with each collection displayed in a pop-up exhibition on the show floor. New this year: the American Craft Council will sell bracelets and necklaces to collect charms from the artists.
Emerging artists program Hip Pop will highlight the work of artists new to the show scene. Each jury-selected participant will be grouped into pods with display space. The structure allows the bright young talent to mix with fellow artists, both new and old, and show-goers, all while showing their craft and skills.
Let’s Make is a new initiative that connects craftsmanship to craft. During the show, artisans provide demonstrations at “Inspiration Stations,” where show-goers interact in the creation of a piece of artwork.

The American Craft Council Show will be open Friday, February 20, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Baltimore Convention Center is located at One West Pratt Street, Baltimore, 21201. Tickets are $16 for a one-day pass or $30 for a three-day pass. Guests can save time by purchasing tickets online at www.craftcouncil.org/baltimore. Advance Tickets costs are $14 for a one-day pass, $28 for a three-day pass, $5 after 5 p.m. Friday night, on-site purchases only! Entry for children 12 and under and American Craft Council members is FREE.
