Ever consider ordering bunch of roofing shingles on behalf of a company without that company’s knowledge and then selling them on craigslist? Me neither. But that’s exactly what Lloyd K. Butts, 49, of Orchard Beach has been accused of.
I don’t know if it’s creative or desperate. But it sure looks like it wasn’t that smart. Butts was busted after an officer posed as a buyer for the shingles at a price of $3,800. He was arrested and charged with felony theft and identity fraud.
