We’re going to just assume that much like the wine they serve, 13.5% Wine Bar is getting better with age. Not that we had any complaints when they first opened their doors five years ago. The incredible wine selection and perfect food pairings featuring local and seasonal delights make for some of the most elegant eating and drinking you can do in this town. So we’re more than happy to join them in raising a glass (or two, or three) to celebrate five awesome years on The Avenue, to be followed, we hope, by many, many more.
On Sunday, July 13th, 13.5% will feature 105 (yes, you read that right) different wines in honor of the occasion. The wines come from all over the world, representing a huge spectrum of what’s possible in the art of winemaking. But they’ll keep the menu tailored to local tastes, of course, with an outdoor party complete with pit beef and live music. The festivities begin at 2pm, for those who love a lunch-hour glass of wine. But if you must refrain until a bit later (even on a Sunday) you can stop by any time before 8pm to get in on the celebration and toast our much loved, five-year old neighbor.
