Yesterday the James Beard Foundation announced the semifinalists in the 2014 Restaurant and Chef Awards.  Baltimore chefs Cindy Wolf and Spike Gjerde both made the cut for best chef in the Mid-Atlantic region!  This is the third nomination for Wolf and the second for Gjerde.

The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 18, 2014; the winners will then be announced at the James Beard Foundation Awards on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Lincoln Center in New York City.
