About 25% of Maryland’s approximately 6 million residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while the state marked its fourth consecutive day of more than 1,000 newly reported cases on Friday.

A total of 1,535,111 Marylanders have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data showed on Friday.

Of the two-dose vaccines, Maryland has administered a total of 2,221,581 first doses and 1,356,081 second doses.

In the past 24 hours, providers have administered 40,369 first doses and 40,345 second doses.

Maryland providers have also administered single-dose vaccines to a total of 179,030 people, including 538 doses that were reported in the past 24 hours.

At least 433,359 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,260,589 have tested negative as of Friday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

Maryland health officials confirmed 1,564 new coronavirus cases, an increase of 0.36%.

A total of 8,342 Marylanders have died from COVID-19, with 16 additional deaths reported since Thursday. There are also 186 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.

The state has completed 9,265,525 coronavirus tests to date, with 46,427 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

Over the last seven days, an average of 5.67% of the state’s COVID-19 tests have come back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 6.26% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 5.18% for Marylanders older than 35.

Maryland has hospitalized a total of 39,844 COVID-19 patients to date, including 1,232 who are currently hospitalized.

Of those currently hospitalized, 936 are in acute care and 296 are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients fell by 18 while the number of intensive care patients rose by six, marking a net decrease of 12 fewer people hospitalized with coronavirus compared to Thursday.

As of 10 a.m. Friday, there have been 81,035 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 68,623 in Montgomery County; 60,389 in Baltimore County; 48,579 in Baltimore City; 41,045 in Anne Arundel County; 19,002 in Frederick County; 18,249 in Howard County; 15,395 in Harford County; 13,801 in Washington County; 10,214 in Charles County; 8,795 in Carroll County; 7,288 in Wicomico County; 6,685 in Allegany County; 5,732 in Cecil County; 5,649 in St. Mary’s County; 4,035 in Calvert County; 3,490 in Worcester County; 2,817 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,582 in Dorchester County; 2,514 in Somerset County; 2,209 in Caroline County; 2,025 in Talbot County; 1,936 in Garrett County; and 1,270 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 130,679 are Black, 10,440 are Asian, 152,542 are white, 66,697 are Hispanic, 20,232 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 52,769.

Maryland has identified 226,451 of the state’s confirmed coronavirus patients to date as female and 206,908 as male.

Of the state’s confirmed cases, 23,112 are people age 9 or younger; 43,420 are people ages 10-19; 79,595 are people ages 20-29; 74,210 are people ages 30-39; 64,986 are people ages 40-49; 64,998 are people ages 50-59; 43,499 are people ages 60-69; 24,089 are people ages 70-79; and 15,450 are people age 80 or older.

Nationwide, there have been at least 31,497,773 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 565,299 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 413.1 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Friday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
