Was your high school prom filled with party animals? If not, here’s your chance for a do-over!
The Maryland Zoo is bringing back Adult Prom, taking place on Saturday, April 20, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
“Adult Prom: Through the Decades” invites attendees to dust off their old prom outfits and dance the night away to their favorite hits through the decades. The party favorites will span songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
In addition to all the prom classics of music and dancing, there will be appetizers, and open bar, and a variety of activities any nostalgic adult would enjoy: a photo booth permanent jewelry, a silent auction, and appearances from the Zoo’s very own animal ambassadors!
The open bar will include unlimited beer, wine, signature cocktails, spiked seltzers, and soft drinks. There will be a DJ and a prom court royalty contest in addition to other prom night fun, only minus the drama of high school! We’re all adults now, right?
Zoo members save $5 on every ticket, and there is a limited quantity of mystery VIP Animal Experience Add-Ons, which cost $50. This is a 30-minute separate special animal encounter and Q&A session with animal keepers taking place before prom. Potential experiences include encounters with an African penguin, a lion, birds, or a rhino. The Add-On ticket does not include access to the prom.

Ticket proceeds support the Zoo’s animal care and conservation programs. Attendees must be 21 or older. The event will take place at the Zoo’s Mansion House, rain or shine.
Shoulder pads not required.
