After jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict in a non-fatal shooting,ย Baltimore City Circuit Judge Alan Lazerowย declared a mistrial and a retrial will be scheduled on July 21.

Larry Mooreย is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, reckless endangerment, firearm possession with a felony conviction and discharging a firearm for a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Sept. 5, 2025 at Jayโ€™s Grocery located on the 2300 block of E. Preston Street.

Moore is accused of opening fire at the owner, wounding him.

Moore was also charged with possession of firearms with a drug conviction for the same incident, which was dismissed.

Defense attorney Donald Wright is representing Moore.

Mooreโ€™s next appearance is set before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland.
