The unique culinary tastes of Baltimore are making a comeback on cable television.

The Sun reports famed world-traveling chef Andrew Zimmernโ€™s show โ€œBizarre Foods: Delicious Destinationsโ€ will be showcasing a handful of local favorites tomorrow night at 9 p.m. The new season kicked off on Oct. 4. Baltimore joins Rome, Brooklyn, Bangkok, Seoul and other cities on the newest leg of Zimmernโ€™s televised international food tour.

The showโ€™s website doesnโ€™t get too specific in its description of the episode, but it notes that locally caught blue crab, pit beef and โ€œbeloved chocolatey Berger bookiesโ€ are among his selections.

This isnโ€™t the first time Zimmern has showcased Baltimore on his show. Three years ago, he documented his experiences eating oysters at Lexington Market, chilling with street merchants downtown and visiting farm-to-table staple Woodberry Kitchen.

Itโ€™s hard to say what specific establishments he visited while filming here, but his choices sounds good โ€”you canโ€™t really go wrong with Maryland crabs and slow-cooked pit beef. Perhaps heโ€™ll round off the episode with a taste of sour beef?

As the Sun notes, those who canโ€™t tune in tonight can watch the re-runs on: Wednesday, Oct. 19, 12 a.m.; Sunday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 24, 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, 12:30 a.m.; and Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2 p.m.
