Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival has announced its daily schedules, ticket details, activity plans, and more for the two-day event celebrating music, community, and the Chesapeake Bay on Sept. 21โ22, 2025.
This is the third year the festival will be held at Sandy Point State Park along the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland. Visitors can enjoy 14 bands and three artists-at-large on two alternating beachside stages over the two days.
Headliners include Greensky Bluegrass and Molly Tuttle, Railroad Earth, The Travelinโ McCourys (and their Grateful Ball), The Kitchen Dwellers, LaMP (Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, and Ray Paczkowski), Sam Grisman Project, and Larry Keelโs Electric Larry Land. Holly Bowling, Kyle Tuttle, and Patrick Rainey are the artists-at-large, and they will perform throughout the weekend with multiple acts.

Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival is billed as โmore than just a music festival.โ Aside from celebrating music and community, the festival carefully curates the local food and beverage experience for attendees, activities available for all ages, and puts a strong educational focus on two important causes: protecting the Chesapeake Bay and improving awareness of mental health issues.
Baygrass artists and the festivalโs nonprofit partners will host interactive workshops and exhibits focused on music, Bay conservation, and mental wellness. Leading by example, Baygrass has become one of the nationโs top eco-focused festivals.
โAt Baygrass, the energy of the crowd and the setting on the Chesapeake remind us why we do this,โ said Ron Peremel, the festivalโs founder & CEO.
โIn 2024, fans traveled from 37 states and Canada to be part of this shared experience,โ Peremel said. โEvery ticket, beverage, and piece of merchandise purchased directly supported our nonprofit partnersโWatershed Stewards Academy, Oyster Recovery Partnership, and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bayโhelping us raise over $32,000 for Bay conservation. Thatโs the heart of our motto โEvery Jam Saves the Bayโโevery note and every person here plays a part in protecting the Chesapeake for generations to come.โ

Activities like beachfront yoga, beach and yard games like ping pong and cornhole will take place against the backdrop of the bay with a soundtrack of the live music provided by the bands. The KidZone will engage children of all ages, where they can make messages in a bottle, create kaleidoscopes, make puppets, and more. There will even be workshops for young music fans tailored just for their age group.
Because two days could not hold all the fun, Baygrass has partnered with Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts Bowen Theater for an official Friday night Baygrass Kick Off Party with Fitzkee Brothers and Wicked Sycamore. On Friday, Sept. 19 from 7:30 p.m.โ11:30 p.m. there will be food trucks, beer, wine, and free parking.
In addition to raising funds to help Chesapeake Bay conservation, Annapolis Baygrass spotlights the importance of mental health awareness.
โJoy isn’t just about indulgenceโit’s about nurturing our mental health,โ said John Way, co-founder and COO of the Baygrass festival. โWe can tap into a boundless well of joy through the universal language of musicโbecause โEvery Jam Helps a Mind.โ”
Way is an Army veteran and mental health first aid instructor. He founded The VA Way, and brings together the mental health resources that appear at the festival. These include the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, the Mental Health Association of Maryland, and NAMI Maryland, NAMI Anne Arundel County, along with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and more.
The VA Way also sponsors the Sober Safe Space, run by Serenity Sistas), Yoga on the Beach, run by YogaRoots Movement, and the Mental Wellness Workshop on Sunday.
