Baltimore-born actress Gigi Burgdorf continues to broaden her presence across film, television, gaming, and the pond with a growing list of international credits, “The Rehearsal,” and Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple.”

Most recently, Burgdorf appeared in the comedy “Preschool,” directed by and starring Josh Duhamel. The film, now available to rent in the United Kingdom, follows two fathers whose rivalry spirals out of control as they compete for the final spot at an elite preschool. Burgdorf plays Roze, a nanny caught in the middle of the escalating feud.

Filmed around London, Hertfordshire, Rickmansworth, and Milton Keynes, the production combined historic settings with more unconventional backdrops. Burgdorf said the atmosphere on set encouraged improvisation and collaboration, helping shape the film’s playful tone, according to a statement.

“The comedy is silly and ridiculous, which is always a joy to play,” said Burgdorf. “At its heart, the film is about the importance of having fun and not taking everything too seriously.”

Beyond film, Burgdorf is expanding into voice acting. She recently joined the cast of the video game “A Rat’s Quest: The Way Back Home,” voicing the character Clawdette.

Burgdorf also completed work on the short comedy “Pride and Joy,” which she wrote, directed, and starred in. The project marks her third short film as a writer-director and reflects an increasing focus on developing her own stories while continuing to act.

“I’m excited to explore different genres,” said Burgdorf. “I tend to gravitate towards comedy, but it’s great to challenge myself creatively and try something new. Working across different formats gives me the opportunity to keep growing and approaching roles in new ways.”

Looking back on her career, Burgdorf cites her appearance in “The Rehearsal” as a key breakthrough that helped raise her profile and create new opportunities.

With projects spanning television, film and interactive media, Burgdorf continues to build a diverse career while taking on new creative responsibilities behind the camera.
