With 125 single women for every 100 single men, Baltimore is the U.S. city where (heterosexual) guys have the best odds, according to NerdWallet.
In crowning Baltimore champion of the single dudes, the site looked at both the male-female ratio and also the price of a nice date–presuming, I guess, that the guy would be paying. And so while New York City has a similar overabundance of single women, Baltimore won out because it’s a cheaper place to woo.
Various studies have looked at the impact of places with more single women than men. In short, where men have their pick of options, there’s more hooking up and fewer traditional dates–oh, and the women tend to be less happy, too. Sorry for the bad news this morning, Baltimore ladies.
