Work kicked off on a new bus station for Baltimore this week. The new Greyhound station will replace the existing “temporary facility” with a modernized building that has plenty of amenities.
The new 9,000-sq. ft facility will be located at 2110 Haines Street. Take note, gamblers. That means it’s conveniently located near the Horseshoe Casino. The building will have energy efficiency provisions and WiFi. And, there will be a Pizza Hut!
In all, the project comes with an $8 million price tag. The feds ponied up about $4 million. At a groundbreaking ceremony, Stephanie Rawlings Blake called the project a “great example of what can be achieved when federal, state, and local agencies, as well as private entities work in partnership.”
