Work kicked off on a new bus station for Baltimore this week. The new Greyhound station will replace the existing โ€œtemporary facilityโ€ with a modernized building that has plenty of amenities.

The new 9,000-sq. ft facility will be located at 2110 Haines Street. Take note, gamblers. That means itโ€™s conveniently located  near the Horseshoe Casino. The building will have energy efficiency provisions and WiFi. And, there will be a Pizza Hut!

In all, the project comes with an $8 million price tag. The feds ponied up about $4 million. At a groundbreaking ceremony, Stephanie Rawlings Blake called the project a โ€œgreat example of what can be achieved when federal, state, and local agencies, as well as private entities work in partnership.โ€
