Not to be outdone by Cleveland, Baltimore now has its own video footage of a public transit bus driver fighting a passenger. The YouTube video, uploaded yesterday, already has over 100,000 views — and strangely, a lot of “likes.”
The YouTube description claims that the MTA bus driver struck the passenger, identified as a student, “because her music was too loud.” But the footage doesn’t begin until the fight is well underway, so there’s no way to tell how it began. The bystanders appear to lay blame on the driver, and post-fight, the driver huffs about the passenger being “disrespectful,” for whatever that’s worth.
The driver has been suspended, and police are currently reviewing the YouTube video as well as footage from the bus’s own surveillance camera.
Here’s hoping this doesn’t become a national trend.
