Baltimore County and the school system are at odds over whether BCPS is coughing up details of how many teaching vacancies exist.

The county says it needs to know that as it decides on a budget for the coming year. Council members want specifics on how much money the school system is saving because of those unfilled teaching positions.

At a recent budget briefing Councilman Izzy Patoka, a Democrat, said.
