Get Up & Go! Get Ready to Ring it in!
After all the shopping, wrapping, cooking, dining, and hosting in past week– we all deserve a breather. But it’s not the new year just yet. That means now is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of end-of-the-year sales, and to find the perfect New Year’s outfit (and party, and date). Don’t worry. You’ve still got plenty of time.
First, a public service announcement: Harbor East is continuing their offer of complimentary parking throughout the weekend, so that’s just one more reason it’s the ideal place to hunt for the perfect New Years frock. And while you’re down by the harbor, swing by Hats in the Belfry to pick up the perfect New Years fascinator to go with it.
If you have absolutely no shopping left in you, fair enough. You can still get your harbor’s worth with an afternoon (or evening) skating with the whole family at the Inner Harbor ice rink. Or, for some totally solo post-holiday rejuvenating, you can head to Charm City Yoga’s special event tonight. It’s an evening that starts off with a restorative yoga class, and moves into a concert by Wynne Paris, a Kirtan musician.
And then, of course, there’s the question of New Year’s Eve. Today’s recommendation for those still making plans is the gala dinner at Charleston— with a menu specially created for the occasion by chef Cindy Wolf. Come early before you head off to your late-evening affair, or stay until midnight and view the fireworks from the promenade.
