March is that month that’s supposed to be “in like a lion, out like a lamb,” right? Well, we’re more than ready for Mother Nature to bring on the lamb, please. In the meantime, here are some fab ways to spend your weekend, and the week ahead.
This Sunday kicks off Cocktail Week in Baltimore. That means cocktail contests, related film screenings, and master classes for those looking to deepen their mixology practice.
For all the fashionistas out there, this Thursday is NETGLAM, the city’s annual fashion networking social. An absolute must for anyone looking to break into the local fashion industry.
Also on Thursday is the Lionette jewelry trunk show at Panache at Green Spring Station. Register early and you could win a free piece of Lionette jewelry!
This evening, you can celebrate the Kurdish and Persian New Year at the Creative Alliance with Ghazi Kurdistani’s band and Iranian duo, Behfar Bahadoran and Reza Sarlak. And of course, the Marquee Lounge is open for dinner and drinks to round out the evening.
And if you’re determined to get out of the city for the weekend– throw the kids in the car and head down to Annapolis for their Maryland Day celebration, going on all weekend. There will be tons to do indoors and out, and all programs are either $1.00 or free! Now that’s some fun you can afford to indulge in.
Speaking of Annapolis, its film festival starts on Thursday, with 70 new films to discover. It all starts Thursday, March 26 and runs until Sunday evening, March 29. Learn more about the festival and buy tickets, here.
