When it rains, it pours. Or maybe more accurately: when it’s warm and sunny, suddenly there’s tons to do. Get out this weekend for some of spring’s first great festivals and enjoy all that the weekend has to offer.
One of our favorite annual events takes place this weekend at Pimlico. It’s the Decanter Wine Festival— featuring local Maryland wine, horse racing, crafts, food, and more.
If you’re more into traveling by tall ship than horse, maybe the Fells Point Privateer Festival is for you.
There’s also the 12th annual EcoFest, which takes place in beautiful Druid Hill Park. It’s today only– from 12pm-5pm, so don’t miss it!
Stevenson University is also hosting their Senior Class Mustang Craft Festival today from 11am-3pm. They’ll have everything from henna tattoos to homemade bath and body products. It’s open to the public, and entrance comes with free raffle tickets!
And finally, there is the cutest thing happening this weekend: the Kitten Shower hosted by the Baltimore Humane Society. Head on down today from 1pm-4pm to watch the new arrivals get bottle fed while squinting their eyes and making the most adorable sounds on Earth. The event is free, and there will be food, games and more– not that you’ll be able to take your eyes off the kittens anyway.
