Hopefully you’ve already got your brunch reservations made– or at least have perfected your Belgian waffle recipe for tomorrow. You can make this weekend all about mom, all about independent film, or better yet: both. Here’s just a sampling of what’s going on this weekend:
Today, the S.S. John W. Brown will be doing a living history cruise. The ship only does a few cruises per year, so this is a rare opportunity to board one of only two remaining, fully operational Liberty ships from WWII.
On the other side of the entertainment spectrum, at the Creative Alliance this weekend, you can catch Trixie Little’s Trouble in Stubble evening of male strip tease. Obviously, this is either the best thing to take mom to or the worst. Use your judgement.
Ladew Gardens is in peak bloom this weekend. They’ll have a special Mother’s Day lunch available at their cafe, and free treats for mom while supplies last.
This weekend also marks Spring Real Ale Festival at the Pratt Street Ale House. So, so, so many beers. It’s from 12pm-5pm today only.
And finally, the Maryland Film Festival started a few days ago, and continues through the weekend. Don’t miss it!
