Earth Day is April 22, but there’s no reason to wait to celebrate our planet. From listening to environmental advocate Céline Cousteau to sifting through debris collected by one of Baltimore’s resident trash wheels, this weekend brings opportunities to reflect and protect Earth.

Céline Cousteau, Thursday, April 11, 8 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The final installment of the 2023-2024 season of the Baltimore Speaker Series will feature environmental activist, storyteller, and author Céline Cousteau. The daughter of ocean explorer and filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau, and granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau, Céline has become an environmental advocate in her own right. Tamia & Joe, Friday, April 12, 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Award-winning artists Tamia and Joe will perform a night of soulful music.

Trash Wheel Dumpster Dive, Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Baltimore Community ToolBank, 1224 Wicomico St. Look through the debris that Professor Trash Wheel has collected from the Harris Creek outfall in the Canton neighborhood. Chess Fest, Saturday, April 13, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Art. Challenge an opponent to a game of chess. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to masters.

Jason Austin, Saturday, April 13, Creative Alliance, Main Gallery. Artist Jason Austin’s exhibition, “Baltimore In Repose,” closes this Saturday at the Creative Alliance. As you view Austin’s vibrant paintings, you can also scan QR codes that will show the locations that the art depicts.

Marco Hague Trio, Saturday, April 13, 7 p.m., An Die Musik. Enjoy a performance by the Marco Hague Trio, featuring guitarist Marco Hague, drummer Devron Dennis; and bassist Jason Torres.

The Legwarmers, Saturday, April 13, doors open 8 p.m., show starts 9 p.m., Rams Head Live. Relive the music of the 1980s with tribute band The Legwarmers.

Prohibition, Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. This musical event by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will transport you back to the 1920s, from Rudy Vallée to Josephine Baker, from Kurt Weill to King Oliver, and more. Grammy-winner Jeff Tyzik has aranged the hits for the orchestra, which will be accompanies by vintage imagery and video.

Monument to a Memory, Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, Walters Art Museum. Create a monument commemorating a special person, place, or memory. All ages are welcome.

Pikesville Arts and Crafts Community Fair, Sunday, April 14, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Maryland State Police Museum. The fair will feature music from the Baltimore Klezmer Orchestra and Bill Hooper; appearances by Superhero Support Inc. characters; food trucks; art; and more.

Psychology of Conspiracy Theories, Sunday, April 14, 4 p.m., Guilford Hall Brewery. The Profs & Pints series continues with a talk about the pscyology of conspiracy theories. It will be led by Brian A. Sharpless, a licensed clinical psychologist; visiting research fellow at Goldsmiths, University of London; and editor of Unusual Psychological Disorders.
