Maryland is home to plenty of interesting object drops to ring in the New Year. There’s the crab in Easton, the Princess Anne muskrat, and we can’t forget the Hagerstown doughnut. Baltimore has the Disco Ball Drop in Hampden. And this year, a new bar is set to add another descending doodad that’s recognizable to all viewers of all ages.
Game, a sports bar located near the stadiums, is advertising its event as the city’s first ball drop as the culminating moment of its New Year’s Eve party. The block-long bar is partnering with radio station Z104.3 for the bash.
Early pictures indicate the ball is currently hanging from a giant crane, with a view of M&T Bank Stadium providing the epic backdrop. And, there will be a laser show.
