
A black bear visited a pair of picnickers in Baltimore County over the weekend, Fox Baltimore reports.
According to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, officers showed up to keep an eye on the bear, which was clearly not this guy as he moved on from the picnic with “no drama.”
The officers who responded did, however, spend some time taking selfies with the animal in the background. While this may make for a good Facebook post, it’s not the smartest way to interact with wildlife. A park in Colorado had to close a trail last year after too many people tried to pose for pictures with a bear and her cubs. So maybe this isn’t the best kind of behavior for NRP officers to be modeling — just saying…
