Tipsy Scoop, a boozy ice cream shop that started in New York City and now has 13 locations either open or in the works, is opening a “barlour” at 209 Key Hwy. in Federal Hill. Tipsy Scoop Baltimore will fill a space vacated by 3 Bean Coffee.
Tipsy Scoop Baltimore offers liquor-infused scoops of ice cream and sorbet, sundaes, and non-alcoholic flavors. Tipsy Scoop Baltimore will feature an exclusive Blood Orange Crush Creamsicle ice cream featuring Sagamore Rye Whiskey.
Patrons must be 21 to order a liquor-infused item. Tipsy Scoop Baltimore did not need to acquire a liquor license because its offerings are considered a “non-beverage” both federally and in the state of Maryland.
