Animal Collective provided the sounds of Baltimore-born bands through BWI on a busy travel day. In the coming weeks, a couple local musicians are taking the next step and playing the baggage claim.

The three shows mark the continuation of a partnership between alternative radio station WTMD and BWI that began last year. The shows run from 7-10 p.m. once a month from Feb.-April. Think of it like First Thursdays, only with people staking out real estate to grab their suitcase rather than a spot on the lawn.

Here are the dates:

Feb. 12: Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak and Flock of Dimes

March 25: Dave Huemann of Arboretum

April 29: Super City

As another part of the partnership, WTMD curating playlists at the airport that can be heard in the bathrooms and other locations in the terminal. That’s what enabled Animal Collective’s new record to play for 24 hours on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
