Fast-casual Mediterranean food chain CAVA opened a new restaurant at the Hunt Valley Towne Center last week.

The restaurant is located at 11495 McCormick Road, Suite D, in Hunt Valley. It is among the 45 new restaurants that CAVA plans to open in 2024.

The company specializes in Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips, and dressings. The Hunt Valley restaurant will employ about 30-35 workers.

โ€œOur mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in that spirit of generosity, to our guests, our team members, and our community,โ€ said CAVA Regional Director Christian Starkes in a statement. โ€œWe couldnโ€™t be more excited to be in Hunt Valley.โ€

At each restaurant opening, CAVA offers community members a free meal and accepts donations for a local cause, matching those donations up to $1,000. CAVA has raised more than $350,000 in donations since 2019, primarily to address food insecurity in local communities.

The money raised at the opening of CAVAโ€™s Hunt Valley location will support the Maryland Food Bank.

The company also worked with a local nonprofit to donate unused food from the Hunt Valley location to community members in need during the restaurantโ€™s pre-opening training period.
