If you’ve never been to Graul’s (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t been to Graul’s? It’s a Baltimore institution…) you have to stop in over the holidays. So many fun specialties line the shelves! House-made marinades, flavor-infused vinegars, cheeses, a full deli section (a little nicer than your ordinary deli section — so many pates!), terrific prepared foods (this time of year gets too busy to cook every night)…and we haven’t even mentioned the bakery!
The bakery at Graul’s is to die for! It’s known for its cakes — try the carrot cake, you will not be disappointed, I promise — which they make with the right combo of beautiful decoration and great taste. The breads (the tomato bread is a favorite), cookies (almond macaroons, yum!), the hot milk cake (which I’ve only seen at Graul’s) and other goodies are terrific too, with everything you need for the holidays.
So if you’re doing some holiday entertaining? Going to a party? Just want to have a nice dinner at home? The nice folks at Graul’s Markets have you covered, hon. Here are some items from their location in Ruxton that will make the holidays brighter, easier and more delicious!
Warm it up in the oven and you’re done…
Who doesn’t love a lump crab cake (from the prepared food counter)?
Buy your pies and buy yourself some time!
Need some baking supplies? Um, they have those.
An easy and delicious hostess gift from Stonewall Kitchen
…and Belberry Royal Selection flavored vinegars.
(Your foodie friends will love these!)
Order this red velvet cake – I’ll be right over!
Add a sushi platter to your cocktail buffet and watch it disappear.
(This one is a spicy shrimp tempura roll – it’s cooked, don’t be afraid!)
I stopped over to the Wine & Spirit Shop (all the Graul’s stores have them) and found some goodies there, too.
These tasty winter beers will make your guests happy.
And…nothing says “special occasion” like champagne.
Happy Holidays – you know what to do. Eat. Drink. Merriment. Go.
