Kristina Sciarra, the executive chef at Havre de Grace’s Laurrapin Grille, competed on the Food Network’s Chopped recently. And we will all finally get to learn how she fared on Thursday.
Sciarra told the Baltimore Sun that she “kind of want[s] to hide in the corner while everybody else watches” the Oct. 13 episode. But that doesn’t necessarily mean she didn’t do well on the show. She just finds the idea of watching herself on television “a little nerve-wracking.”
Sciarra described to the Sun the experience of taping for the show, which sounds like something out spy movie. “You have to meet at Starbucks at 5:30 a.m. in New York City,” she said. “You show up there, don’t know who you’re meeting and someone comes in and says follow me.”
Well, it’s certainly a fascinating beginning to what must have been a very unusual day. Let’s hope it ended well!
The episode will air on the Food Network at 8 p.m. on Oct. 13. Laurrapin Grille will be holding a viewing party.
