Gilman’s freshman class will hold the seventh annual Christmas tree and bake sale on Saturday, December 10 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the campus near the Roland Avenue entrance. Half of the proceeds will benefit Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Elementary School in West Baltimore. The remainder will go to the Class of 2020 fund, which will ultimately be used for their prom and other class activities.
One hundred Douglas and Fraser Firs, ranging from 6 to 9 feet and priced from $55-$75, will be available. Freshman students will be on hand to help buyers select and trim their tree, as well as load and tie down their selection for transport home. Students will also sell baked goods, coffee and hot chocolate.
Bonus: Bring a school item (pencils, markers, crayons, etc.) to donate to Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Elementary and receive a free baked good.
Trees sell out most years so plan to get yours early.
