Cocktail bar ‘Good to Great’ opened in March at 1157 Haubert St. in Locust Point. The bar space was the longtime home of 1157 Bar + Kitchen before it closed in 2023.

Good to Great is a concept from friends and bar industry veterans Kieran Lahmann and Giancarlo Zerega. Lahmann has been bartending for about 20 years and Zerega for about 15 years. The two met while working at a speakeasy cocktail bar in Washington, D.C. Zerega said that Lahmann taught him how to make cocktails.

Lahmann jumped at the chance to purchase 1157 Haubert St. when it went up for sale, noting how the building lends itself to be a cocktail bar with its layout and high-top booths. He called in Zerega, who was living in Charlotte, North Carolina at the time, to partner on the business.
