A new craft beer debuting just in time for the hottest days of summer has ties to the aquarium in the Inner Harbor.
Dogfish Head is set to release SeaQuench Ale as a drinkable manifestation of its partnership with the National Aquarium. The session sour is a combination of three German styles, and is also brewed with lime peel, lime juice, black lime and sea salt.
As part of the deal, Dogfish Head is the โofficial craft beerโ of the Aquarium. But the Delaware beach-based brewer isnโt only contributing refreshments. Philanthropic dollars will also back research of Northwest Atlantic populations of sharks including the sandbar and sand tiger, as well as the Northwest Atlantic populations of sand tiger and sandbar sharks as well as a program focused on the seafood supply chain.
We fully support this beer-centric method of supporting animal-centric local institutions, which appears to be taking off. Earlier this summer, Brewerโs Art debuted Pengiun Pils to help out the zoo.
