Donald Trump is set to bring his presidential campaign to Baltimore next week.
The real estate tycoon-turned-reality TV star-turned-Republican candidate is set to speak Monday at the Baltimore Convention Center. Itโll be the first time since spring 2015 that Trump has spoken here. Heโs speaking at the convention for the National Guard, who also last amassed in Baltimore around that time.
Trumpโs website doesnโt have many details about the speech, other than that it will start at 1 p.m. For a clue as to what he might say about the town he is in, letโs look at his prior remarks.
First there was that June, 2015, speech at the BWI Marriott, when he said the city has, โNo spirit. None.โ
He doubled down a couple of months later, saying the city was home to vicious gangs of illegals.
And Trump continued weighing in on events in the city this year. He called on Stateโs Attorney Marilyn Mosby to self-prosecute after she dropped charges against the police who were accused in Freddie Grayโs death and brought up the cityโs murder rate during his speech on how the country is going out of control at the Republican National Convention.
Sounds like a place where heโll be welcomed with open arms.

Your anti-Trump bias comes through loud and clear. It might be worth your while to listen to some of his recent speeches instead of relying on sound bites reported by the media. I don’t remember this publication’s bashing Hillary when she came to Baltimore. Wonder why.
