Even without the usual Preakness weekend traffic, motorists traveling through Baltimore can still still expect road closures and parking restrictions for other events happening throughout the city.

The 5th annual George “Spider” Anderson Music and Arts Festival will take place Saturday in northwest Baltimore’s Park Heights community.

Ahead of the event, several roadways in the Park Heights area will be closed to traffic from 6 p.m. Friday through 9 p.m. Saturday. They include:

  • Northbound Park Heights Ave closed at West Cold Spring Lane, with only local traffic being allowed to travel up to Woodland Avenue.
  • Southbound Park Heights Ave closed at West Belvedere Avenue, with only local traffic being allowed to travel up to West Garrison Avenue.
  • Eastbound Oakley Avenue closed at Park Heights Avenue.
  • Eastbound Woodland Avenue closed between Homer and Delaware avenues.
  • Barriers will be placed across Park Heights Avenue at Woodland and Oakley avenues. 

There will also be parking restrictions from 12 p.m. Friday through 11:59 p.m. Saturday at:

  • Both sides of Park Heights Avenue from Virginia to Oakley avenues.
  • Both sides of Woodland Avenue from Homer to Delaware avenues.

From 4 p.m. Friday through 11 p.m. Saturday, the following MTA bus stops will be closed: 1075, 1076, 8579, 1079, 1081, 731, 732, 733, 734, 737, and 739

Bus riders can use these alternate stops: 1074, 9279, 1083, 730 and 9281.

Ahead of an event at CFG Bank Arena on Saturday, lane closures will be implemented on the following roadways from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday:

  • Howard Street left lane closure from Camden to Pratt Streets
  • Lombard Street right lane closure from Hopkins Place to Howard Street 
  • Baltimore Street left lane closure from Howard Street to Park Avenue
  • Pratt Street left lane closure from Eutaw to Howard Streets

Weekend Closure of Eastbound Druid Park Lake Drive at Swann Drive

To accommodate work on the brick crosswalk, a portion of eastbound Druid Park Lake Drive will be closed at Swann Drive from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday.

There will also be lane closures along westbound Druid Park Lake Drive from the I-83 ramp to Linden Avenue during that same period.

The Baltimore Farmers’ Market will take place Sunday under the Jones Falls Expressway under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., motorists can expect the following street and lane closures and parking restrictions:

  • Holliday Street closed from E. Pleasant Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure between Front Street and Fallsway

The city will implement other traffic modifications throughout the weekend.

On Friday, expect the following road closure:

  • Guilford Ave bridge closure between Mount Royal Ave and Oliver St 6:00pm – 9:00pm (special event – demonstration)

On Saturday, the following roads will be closed:

  • Patapsco Ave eastbound closure between Shell and Curtis Aves 6:00am – 4:00pm (repair work)
  • Monument Street closure between Broadway and Washinton St 6:00am – 6:00pm (crane operation)
  • Eutaw Street closure between Saratoga and Lexington Sts 6:00am – 6:00pm (crane operation) 

On Sunday, plan for lane and road closures in these areas:

  • Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 north and southbound left lane closures Fayette Street to the city/county line 6:00am to 2:00pm (cleaning activities)
  • O’Donnell Street closed between S. Conkling and Baylis Sts 6:00am to 7:00pm (special event – 6thAnnual Fire Hero Chili Cook Off)
  • Eutaw Street closure between Saratoga and Lexington Sts 6:00am – 6:00pm (crane operation)
