Sorry, kids, it is indeed time to begin thinking back-to-school thoughts, as we are less than one month away from the first day of class in Baltimore City. Fear not, though, the Enoch Pratt Free Library stands ready to help ease the transition from summer to school year.
Enoch Pratt Free Library offers resources and programs for families and students as they prepare for schoolโs start, including help with homework, tutoring, school supplies, access to computers, WiFi, and internet devices. Pratt Library cardholders have access to resources like Ebooks, research databases, and streaming media, all accessible from home.
Cardholders can also use HelpNow, an online program for students of all ages to chat with expert tutors, get one-on-one homework help, and get help with their writing. At local Enoch Pratt library branches, students and their families can use devices like Chromebooks and mobile hotspots, as available.
โWe are excited to provide students with the tools needed to start the school year off right,โ said Chad Helton, president and CEO of Enoch Pratt Free Library. โThrough access to expert help, digital resources, and a space to learn, Pratt Library is prepared to empower children and families in Baltimore during this back-to-school season.โ
Throughout August and September, the library will also host events for all ages to celebrate and prepare for the beginning of the school year at more than 10 Pratt Library locations. The activities range from decorating school supplies to themed games to help with the college process and career counseling. The events are free and open to the public. For certain programs, registration is recommended, so be sure to read the description in full.
A sampling of some of the events is listed below. For the full list, visit Enoch Pratt Free Libraryโs Events page.
