Fresh off the video game convention MAG Fest at National Harbor, Bit Gen Gamer Fest is coming to Ottobar in itty bitty form for a night of video game music that promises to warm you up “like an overheating PS2.”

When Fishbowl spoke with organizer John DeCampos last summer, he said the festival’s 17-band lineup was the perfect way to be “forged in fire in the video game music scene.” Well, tonight’s four-band lineup is more like trial by fire; it includes Super Soul Bros., Baltimore bands Steel Samurai and Rare Candy, and Random Battles. As with the larger Bit Gen, there will be a selection of home console games to play while rocking out to your favorite theme songs from childhood.

Show runs from 8 p.m.-midnight. The Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St., (410) 662-0069, theottobar.com, $10.
