Baltimore-based online craft bazaar Yapoma is moving from the virtual realm to a brick-and-mortar one—for the summer, at least.
Yapoma’s new storefront in Belair-Edison opens today, and will remain there through August. The bazaar, whose name derives from the Turkish el yapımı, or handmade, features numerous items made by artisans, most of them from in and around Baltimore. Offerings include everything from jewelry and hand-knitted outerwear to bath products, abstract prints and stationery—enough for you to overhaul your wardrobe of accessories, redecorate a home and gift someone their very own at-home spa day.
Today marks opening day for the pop-up shop on Belair Road, near the eastern tip of Clifton Park. Its owners are inviting you to duck in from the rain for some drinks and snacks, plus live music from singer-songwriter Cynthia Marie.
Noon-8 p.m., 3216 Belair Road, yapomabazaar.com.
