If the prospect of Januaryโ€™s end seems cold and dreary, why not warm up with a cozy, low-pressure potluck gathering, focused on tapas, wine, and conversation?

The Farmers Market Supper Club is hosting a community event on Jan. 29 called Pour Decisions & Small Plates: The Tapas Bar Theme. It will be held at The Wine Collective in Baltimore from 6:30-9 p.m. and guests are asked to each bring a small plate, snack, or bite to share.

The premise is to bring a tapas to share that pairs well with a glass in hand, and the focus is to build community through a shared dining experience in a new environment. The evening is informal and designed for people to be able to mingle, meet neighbors, and enjoy food as a connector. Newcomers and solo attendees are encouraged and welcomed.

โ€œOur hope is to create a third space for people to meet others in their community through fun bespoke food events,” wrote Charlie Urrutia, founder of Farmers Market Supper Club. “Our events highlight local businesses which is why we decided to partner with the wine bar for this theme. It was a perfect fit because tapas and wine are so naturally complementary.โ€

While this is not a ticketed event, an RSVP and $10 deposit is required for planning purposes. The gathering is intentionally low-pressure and inclusive with a focus on community-building rather than exclusivity. The organizers facilitate activities, icebreakers, and other programming to help foster new connections in ways that feel natural and fun.
