Former Maryland basketball player Cliff Tucker, who played for the Terps from 2007-2011, died in a car accident in Texas the morning of May 28.

El Pasoโ€™s CBS affiliate first reported that Tucker was killed in a car accident, and Maryland later confirmed the news. Tucker was a passenger in a van whose rear tire blew out on Interstate-10, causing the vehicle to roll over, according to El Pasoโ€™s NBC affiliate.

Tucker was 29.
