Wico Street Beer Co. has been operating in Pigtown for two years, and is throwing itself a four-day birthday party called “Fun for Days.” The event, scheduled for Nov. 14 – 17, will highlight the key aspects of the brewery including beer and food, pinball, the arts, and being part of the South Baltimore Brewery District.
In November 2022, cousins Jordan McGraw and Mike Richardson opened Wico Street Beer Co., which has walls adorned with brightly colored murals and lined with pinball machines. The variety of beer styles they serve include classics, like Yeah Dude Kinda Hazy IPA, and more unique types like rotating fruited sours and their Fatality series of barrel-aged imperial stout blends.
The brewery is known for its arcade-themed events, like weekly Pinball Happy Hour and Pinball Madness, giving their spot its own unique vibe, “from our eclectic beers such as Whine, a Oenobeer style beer/wine hybrid, to our Saturday Night Vibes summer reggae concert series,” Richardson said.
The “Fun for Days” event begins on Thursday, Nov. 14 with a SoBo Friendsgiving, which will feature guest taps from each of the breweries in the neighborhood and “gobbler” sandwiches from the Wico Food Cart plus Wico’s standard Thursday Pinball Madness Tournament.
On Friday, Nov. 15, Wico will spotlight its dedication to the local arts scene by hosting an artist showcase and market. Saturday, Nov. 16 brings the return of fan-favorite fruited sour beers, Speaking Cursive and Planetary Quarantine plus live music from MR VCR, Skribe, and Adam Almony.
Sunday, Nov. 17 will close the festivities with a Wico Brunch featuring food by local favorites Vaughn & Co and Bublmore along with a cornhole tournament hosted by Legendary Cornhole.
“Owning a small business has been a wild ride. Reaching our two-year mark is a big deal for us, our families and our regulars.
