The Garrison Forest School‘s production of The Language Archive won several honors at the 2017 Baltimore Theatre Awards ceremony on April 30 at Hereford High School. The full production won Best Play, Lizzie Bonsal ’18 won Best Featured Actress in a Play and Zar Glover ’17 was nominated for Best Actress in a Play.

Started in 2015, the Baltimore Theatre Awards (BTA) is a program that recognizes theatre productions and artists in Baltimore County and City schools, both private and public.

This is the first year that Garrison Forest has been a participant in the program. During the run of The Language Archive, which ran in November 2016, two different judges from the BTA saw the GFS performances (and many others at other area schools) and then submitted their votes. Nominations were announced to theatre directors in mid-April.

Congratulations, cast and crew, on your accomplishment!
