Sometimes it seems like Memorial Day weekend is one of those things we wait around all year for. Sure, we’ve had plenty of nice weather already; maybe you’ve even squeezed in a trip to Bethany Beach or two so far. But truly, Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of all things summer. From here on out it’s non-stop barbecues, beaches, and snow balls. And plenty of great festivals, too.
Start off your weekend with today’s Baltimore Herb Festival. Celebrate savory (the Herb of the Year) and enjoy live music, lectures, and the wonderful weather.
Tomorrow, head down to SoWeBo for the SoWeBo Arts Festival. This festival, now in its 31st year, offers plenty for kids and families, including arts, crafts, food, and more!
Also happening on Sunday is the Festival of India, which includes a parade that kicks off at the Science Center. The perfect excuse to spend some time down at the harbor this weekend!
All weekend long at the Creative Alliance, you can catch the Baltimore Rock Opera Society‘s latest: the 6-Pack. It’s six one-act rock operas brought to you by the people who usually bring you one mind-melting epic per year.
And if you’re looking for somewhere (in town) to take the kids on Memorial Day, Port Discovery will be offering a whole host of family activities from 10am -5pm. Have a blast!
