The former home of the Beast of the East is now Tradepoint Atlantic. The new owners of the site that once housed a giant Bethlehem Steel plant officially renamed the area on Tuesday.
The new name reflects plans to turn the 3,100-acre site into a distribution hub for shipping by land and sea on the East Coast. A website advertises the area’s deepwater port, direct access to highway via I-695 and 100 miles of rail on site.
There’s also a new logo which serves as a visual reminder of the “Star of Bethlehem” that hung over the steel mill.
The site is currently being redeveloped, and the group that took over the site is marketing it to new tenants.
