Amazon may not be the only name in delivery if another tech giant has anything to say about it.

According to engadget, the search giant is launching a new delivery service called Google Express. East Coast states, including Maryland, are the beneficiaries of the expansion. Like Amazon Prime, Google is offering one-day and two-day delivery. Just like Amazon Prime, there’s a yearly subscription that includes shipping costs.

The main difference is where the orders start. Amazon has giant fulfillment centers, like the one in Baltimore. Google, on the other hand, has couriers delivering direct from retailers like Costco, Giant, Staples and Guitar Center. The logo is a parachute, but it’s not as quaint as it seems. There are plans to attach drones by next year.
