With the Ravens set to take the field for their first preseason action on Thursday, the governor stopped by practice to provide a little inspiration on Tuesday.
According to the AP, Hogan stopped by the team’s Owings Mills facility for a chat that Head Coach John Harbaugh called “all fun.” He gave a motivational speech, which the Ravens captured on video.
Comparing his run for governor to the Ravens players seeking jobs, Hogan talked about the long odds he faced. He also talked about his battle with cancer.
“I know what it’s like to play through when you’ve fatigue, when you’ve got pain, when you keep pushing yourself. Don’t ever give up, don’t ever give up,” he said.
It appeared to impress Harbaugh.
“I think he could be a good coach,” Harbaugh said.
The Ravens also gave Hogan his own cheer:
The @Ravens are #HoganStrong! Looking forward to another season of Ravens football! 🏈😈💪 pic.twitter.com/8pkeLX7Edv
