What a challenging year 2020 has been! While we have all seen socio-economic changes to the way we live, there are many who have also seen their long-time jobs disappear. There are those who experienced a cut in pay, while even other workers may have had their hours cut…sometimes cut in half. It has forced many to look to a career change. For those who find themselves in this situation, CCBC is offering eight programs at no cost through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) grant.
For folks who’ve made the decision to switch careers, these programs are fully funded for those who meet the eligibility requirements. They offer tuition, fees and books to any U.S. citizen who is a Maryland resident and whose job has been affected by COVID-19.

The programs being offered through this incentive program are Administrative Professional, HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, Child Care Professional, Forklift Operator, Home Inspector Pre-License, Pharmacy Technician, AND Real Estate Sales Person. Classes will begin in January.
If you have an interest in making a change to your career, see if you are eligible by calling 443-840-4700 or chat with us at ccbcmd.edu/coned from 8:30am – 4pm Monday through Friday.
