Along with Exelon’s headquarters and lots of condos, the new development at Harbor Point will also have a friendly neighborhood Hilton.
Hilton is set to build an edition of its new Canopy by Hilton brand on the massive development, which is currently under construction on the waterfront south of Harbor East and Fells Point. Canopy aims for urban areas, with each hotel “designed as a natural extension of its neighborhood, with local design, food and drink,” according to its website.
In Baltimore, the 156-room hotel will occupy the top four floors of the 12-story Wills Street Wharf building, which will be the fourth structure to go up at Harbor Point. The hotel, will also have a restaurant overlooking the harbor, complete with outdoor terrace.
Beatty Development Group, which is behind the Harbor Point project, expects the hotel to open in 2018.
