You might want to go out for pizza tonight instead of ordering in. Joe Squared is holding no-entry fee viewing parties at both their Station North and Power Plant Live locations tonight. Whatโ€™s the occasion? Joe Squared will be featured on tonightโ€™s episode of The Food Networkโ€™s โ€œDiners, Drive-ins, and Dives.โ€

The episode, titled โ€œOut of the Box,โ€ will feature Joe Edwardsen and his Joe Squared restaurants. While โ€œOut of the Boxโ€ makes a nice play on restaurant-served pizza versus delivery pizza, the phrase is also a philosophy befitting all that Joe Squared offers. In addition to their square pies, they provide 17 varieties of risotto, live music from local and indie bands, and art shows where they donโ€™t take a commission cut from the artistsโ€™ sales.

Tonightโ€™s parties at both locations will play the television segment, which airs at 10pm. No reservations are necessary and there are no admission fees.

Joe Squared-Power Plant Live will host a more elaborate follow-up party this Friday, March 9, at 9pm. โ€œOde to Joe,โ€ as this party is being called, includes live performances by Oil Pan Boy and The Manly Deeds, a rebroadcast of the episode, samples of the pizza and risotto featured on the television segment, and a chance to win a hat signed by โ€œDinersโ€ host, Guy Fieri.

While viewersโ€™ mouths are watering across the nation we can sit smugly with a slice of the real thing square on our lips.
