Student members of Johns Hopkinsโ€™ Black Student Union have taken to the internet to combat racism, ignorance, and plain old stupidity. Inspired by a similar campaign by black students at Harvard, the #ITooAmHopkins photo series shows Hopkins students sharing their personal experiences.

The Hopkins BSU has been doing a great job at harnessing social media to document problems on the schoolโ€™s campus; witness this awesome Twitter campaign from last year. (While Baltimore is a majority black city, African Americans make up just 5.45 percent of Johns Hopkins students.)

  1. Great campaign. There’s still so much ignorance in the world (and always will be — humans will never stop being idiots). All we can do is keep exposing it and keep fighting it.

  2. I absolutely remember dealing with this same kind of situation during my high school and college years back in the nineties.
