Student members of Johns Hopkinsโ Black Student Union have taken to the internet to combat racism, ignorance, and plain old stupidity. Inspired by a similar campaign by black students at Harvard, the #ITooAmHopkins photo series shows Hopkins students sharing their personal experiences.

The Hopkins BSU has been doing a great job at harnessing social media to document problems on the schoolโs campus; witness this awesome Twitter campaign from last year. (While Baltimore is a majority black city, African Americans make up just 5.45 percent of Johns Hopkins students.)

Thanks so much for spreading the word!
Great campaign. There’s still so much ignorance in the world (and always will be — humans will never stop being idiots). All we can do is keep exposing it and keep fighting it.
I absolutely remember dealing with this same kind of situation during my high school and college years back in the nineties.
