With Restaurant Week still underway and a flurry of openings and anniversaries, this week is an exciting one in the Baltimore culinary world. Hereโs a look at whatโs happening:
Openings & announcements
The Undefeated, the new cocktail bar from Atlas Restaurant Group, is now open. The bar, which is located next door to the Waterfront Hotel, is open Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 5 p.m.
Midlina, the new globally-inspired spot on Boston St., is now open.
Union Hill Craft Kitchen & Bar, in the former Blue Hill Tavern space, officially opened earlier this week.
The Chesapeake Wine Company, which has been a Canton fixture for years, is under new ownership. The new owner, Kim Bosley, is hosting a โNew Sign Celebrationโ to honor the change, on Sunday, Feb. 2 starting at noon.
Sally Oโs is adding Sunday brunch to its weekly lineup, starting on Feb. 16.
Mt. Washington Tavern is now offering delivery directly from its website โ no need to go through DoorDash or Uber Eats, which means savings for the restaurant and for diners.
Restaurant Weeks
Itโs still Restaurant Week season โ at least for a few more days. Through this Saturday, you can still grab deals at Baltimore City and Howard County restaurants participating in their respective restaurant week promotions.
Also, keep an eye out for restaurants extending their specials โ many often do, including The Milton Inn in Baltimore County, which is extending through this Saturday, and Limoncello, which will offer its Restaurant Week menu until Feb. 9.
National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day
Saturday, Feb. 1 is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day โ also known as The Charmeryโs favorite holiday.
As usual, the ice cream shopโs locations will all open at 10 a.m. to celebrate, and will offer a fun lineup of breakfast-inspired flavors, like Honey Bunches, which is a collaboration with Catalog Coffee, and Cinnamon Toast.
Veterans benefit at Towson Tavern
On Saturday evening, Towson Tavern is hosting the Elks Lodge Benefit for Veterans. The event, which is open to the public, features food and drink specials, all of which benefit local veterans.
Cosima turns nine
This Tuesday, Cosima celebrates its ninth birthday. To mark the occasion, the restaurant is hosting a ticketed party with an open bar, passed appetizers and several classic dishes. A portion of ticket sales will also be donated to Maryland SPCA.
Nana turns one
Speaking of anniversaries, Carlos Rabaโs Nana has just had its first โ and to celebrate, the Towson eatery has $12 whole chickens on the menu this week.
Omakase at Azumi
Azumiโs omakase tasting dinners are back โ and the first of the year is on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Happy hour benefit at The Duchess
Also on Wednesday, The Duchess is hosting a ticketed happy hour benefitting the Womenโs Law Center of Maryland. The event includes food, drinks and live music โ all for an excellent cause.
Sweet stuff at THB
Towson Hot Bagelโs Cinna-Bagel is back for Valentineโs season โ along with a few other treats, like a Nutella-marshmallow cream cheese. The menu items are only available in February.
