If you love cooking and you love easy recipes with fresh ingredients, Ina Garten has got to be on your bookshelf. Meet her at Cross Keys on Thursday.
Garten had no formal training; she taught herself cooking techniques with the aid of French and New England cookbooks. Later, she relied on intuition and feedback from customers and friends to refine her recipes. Her culinary career began with her gourmet food store, Barefoot Contessa, she then expanded her activities to cookbooks, magazine columns, self-branded food products, and a popular Food Network television show.
On December 13 at noon Garten will make an appearance at Williams Sonoma at the Village at Cross Keys to promote and sign her latest book, Fool Proof. The event is open to the public but only if you bought the book in advance. Already the store has sold hundreds of copies. Be sure to get there early. It’s going to be packed!
The Village of Cross Keys is at 5100 Falls Road in Roland Park. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m.
