Jacoby’s Super Success on DWTS

The judges (and the voting public) have spoken:  Jacoby Jones, Ravens wide receiver, is an excellent dancer. If you haven’t been following along with the 16th season of Dancing With the Stars, now might be a good time to start:  The competition is down to its final four, and Jones stands a good chance of coming out a winner. Which means that Baltimore is incredibly close to winning the 2013 Triumphant Trifecta (which I just made up):  the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby, and DWTS’s top spot, all in one year!

Jones, who dances with professional Karina Smirnoff, wowed judges in last week’s show with a sizzling Argentine tango that earned them a standing ovation. “Mood. Intensity. Great feel. Ka-ching! Right on the money, Jacoby,” trumpeted head judge Len Goodman, while according to judge Bruno Tonioli, the chemistry between Jones and Smirnoff was “unbearable.” (We assume he meant that as a compliment.) The dance earned our new favorite Raven a perfect score — three 10s — from the judging panel, and won him a spot in the finals.

Jones will be the only male celeb in the finals competition, which airs on Tuesday night. He and Smirnoff will compete against country music star Kellie Pickler, Disney star Zendaya, and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.
