Sizka Restaurant will close its doors after almost five years in Canton.

The restaurant announced last week on Facebook that this coming Wednesday, Nov. 27, will be their last day in business.

“For the past 5 years in Canton we were happy to serve our patrons quality sushi. We are closing down on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
We will be open for the next 6 days (including Monday).
All of our staff are appreciative of our patrons.
Thank you everyone”

Social media users lamented the closure.

“Best sushi in Maryland, perhaps the location didn’t help,” one Facebook commenter wrote.

“Best sushi I’ve had living in Canton! Wish I still lived in the state so I could visit one last time!” another wrote.

The restaurant opened in Canton in December 2019, replacing the former Firehouse Coffee Co. at 1030 S. Linwood Ave.

They serve a Japanese fusion menu, including sushi, sashimi, gyoza pan-fried dumplings, udon noodles, fried rice, and more.
